Booking
To confirm your booking request, please complete and validate the "Booking Request Form" available online on our website.
Down payment
On receipt of your non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total rental price, we will confirm your definitive and guaranteed booking by email.
Payment methods
Please indicate your choice of payment on the booking request form. We accept bank transfers and card payments. For bank transfers we can email you our bank details. If you wish to pay by card, we offer a secure online payment facility via Stripe, for which we will email you instructions.
Price
The rental price is that indicated on our website on the date the booking request form is sent.
Payment of the balance of the rental price, plus tourist tax and a €100 safety deposit per gîte, is due at least 30 days before the start of your stay. For bookings made less than 30 days before the start of your stay, full payment is required. If full payment is not received by this date we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
Tourist tax
A proportional tourist tax (1€ per night per adult on average) is added to the rental price.
Cancellations
If you ever have to cancel your stay, the following part of the rental price will not be refunded:
- between 45 and 30 days: 50%
- between 30 and 15 days: 75%
- during the last 15 days: 100%
Any cancellation on your part must be confirmed by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. It is agreed that in the unlikely event of us withdrawing service, we are required to return the down payment collected to you.
Covid - If new restrictions are imposed by our government, such as lockdowns, border closures, which would make your stay impossible, we will first offer a postponement, then a cancellation if the first option is not viable. In cases other than those mentioned above (for example positive Covid tests, quarantine obligation, illness, stay already commenced, etc.) the cancellation conditions are those which usually apply.
Insurance
We advise you to take out travel insurance for your stay, which also covers problems related to Covid. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by strikes, riots, airport or port closures, fires, floods and other natural disasters.
Hirer liability and security deposit
Cleaning of your gîte is included in the hire package for your stay, however the hirer is responsible for leaving the gîte tidy. Failure to do so may result in additional charges. If in your booking request you have asked for a reduction in the rental price by undertaking to do the cleaning yourself, but the cleaning carried out on your departure is not satisfactory, we reserve the right to deduct the cleaning costs (at least the amount of the reduction granted) from the €100 deposit.
We reserve the right to deduct from the €100 deposit the cost of repairing and/or replacing any damage caused to the gîte or its contents. If these costs exceed the amount of the security deposit remaining available, we shall be entitled to claim the full value of the repairs or replacement. We undertake to return the deposit, less any deductions, within two weeks of your departure.
Duration of the hire
The lodgings are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival, and must be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure. Reservations are made from Saturday to Saturday, except where special arrangements have been made with the owner.
Conditions of use
Use of the gîte, facilities and any other part of our site is at the sole risk of the hirer, and the owner shall not be liable for any loss, injury, death or other damage to the hirer, or any person connected with the hirer, or to the hirer's personal belongings, including vehicles.
Friendly pets are admitted free of charge, provided they are mentioned in your booking and are kept on a lead at all times while outside. This is to avoid any risk to our animals (dog, cat, hens and rabbit), which are free to roam the grounds.
In accordance with article 1243 of the French Civil Code, "the owner of an animal, or the person who uses it, while it is in his use, is responsible for the damage that the animal has caused, whether the animal was in his custody, or whether it was lost or escaped".
For everyone's safety, please keep to a walking pace when driving in the yard.
Partying is strictly forbidden. French law requires that there be no noise between 22:00 and 7:00.
Smoking is not permitted in the gîte.
